BCF Presents Round Tables for Charities
For the Burlington Community Foundation to effectively support the broad issues of the community, we need to know what they are.  To that end, we are hosting 3 Round Tables in May focusing on the environment, (May 11), arts & culture (May 20), and Children.(May 27).  Who Should Attend?  The individual(s) who best understand the issues underpinning various programs, projects, and services you deliver.  Registration is on a first come/first served basis.  Contact info@burlingtonfoundation.org to register.

A Milestone at the Burlington Community Foundation:

The BCF Board and Staff congratulate Cheryl Taylor, Executive Director, as she recently celebrated her 5th anniversary with the Foundation.  In reflection, Cheryl noted that the number of funds created by caring community citizens has tripled in five years which has enabled the Foundation to grant over $1.2 million to charities serving the Burlington area and beyond.  We all wish Cheryl continued "friend raising" success for the future.

Featuring Mark Venning & Heather Turnbull
May 11, 2010, 8 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

If you could save time in a bottle, how big would that bottle need to be? At this first Think Camp 2010 session, Heather Turnbull will facilitate a group discussion around how we can work smarter, while doing more with less in a not-for-profit world.  And while we’re at it, how do you learn to say NO to the many demands of the ’pressure-tense’?  Check out the PDF below for more information and to register.

SB Partners has also created a brochure on How HST will impact Not-For-Profit Organizations. Check it out:
