Mayor’s Gala - An elegant evening in honour of the Burlington Community Foundation

Despite challenging times, this year’s Gala Committee was successful in increasing corporate sponsorship to record levels. As Mayor Jackson noted in his remarks during the Gala, “we are deeply grateful to all of our incredibly generous sponsors who help us help so many worthwhile organizations in our city. Together we will continue to build and develop a prosperous community with a quality of life second to none.”

A sincere note of appreciation to all of our guests, Committee members, volunteers and donors. Your support is greatly appreciated. We are proud that together we continue to continue the important philanthropic work of the Burlington Community Foundation in Burlington.

2008 Casino Night / Golf Marathon

Thank you to our golfers who took the challenge of golfing 100 holes and raising $3,000.00.
Following our 2nd Annual Golf Marathon was our Casino Night.

“Under the Harvest Moon…Burlington, so much to be thankful for…” was the theme for the 2007 Mayor’s Gala. To quote the Mayor’s message:

“The Mayor’s Gala is a wonderful opportunity to support the Burlington Community Foundation (BCF) while celebrating all the elements that combine to make Burlington one of the cleanest, greenest and most prosperous cities in which to raise our families.”

To summarize this magnificent evening one can truly say; “Burlington….so much to be thankful for.”

2007 BCF Forum - Guest Speaker David Suzuki

Our 2007 BCF Forum was another successful event thanks to our BCF Forum Committee, our Promotional Partners and our Volunteers!

Over 500 guests attended to hear Dr. David Suzuki speak about the importance of taking care of our planet. "We can no longer delay like we have in the last 20 years, we must act now," said Suzuki, long-time environmentalist.

Our 2007 BCF Forum was geared toward the environment and building awarenes around our environmental fund. As our environmental fund grows, so will the monies we can grant back to environmental initiatives on an annual basis, forever.
