Tax BenefitsThe Burlington Community Foundation is recognized by the federal government as a "public foundation" with charitable registration.
As such, the Foundation issues official receipts for income tax purposes which may be applied to the extent permitted under the Income Tax Act (Canada). There are also significant benefits derived from donating gifts of appreciated property to the Foundation, both during a person’s lifetime and through a bequest.
